SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN
Calling all filmmakers! OAFF is open for early bird film submissions.
The Ottawa Adventure Film Festival is a 9-day festival located in the National Capital Region of Canada. This is only the fourth year of the OAFF and we have already grown to be the biggest festival of its kind in Eastern North America.
Our screenings are hosted at the historic Mayfair Theatre in the heart of Ottawa’s core as well as the University of Ottawa. The festival also showcases multiple events throughout the region which happens to be on the doorstep to some of the best outdoor playgrounds in Eastern Canada. This year we were able to connect many of our filmmakers with our audiences directly and the response was fantastic.
We pride ourselves in being a festival for the filmmaker. The OAFF is a festival that is owned and operated by filmmakers and creatives. We work hard to showcase our filmmakers through our media, promotion, and events. This means that we will always take your vision into account.
The OAFF is about building and growing our adventure community and the event is something that celebrates this. Along with the films we showcase local musicians, artists, comedians, and advocates of all that is adventure. The festival is 100% grassroots and run by a small team of passionate people looking to celebrate the culture that we all love. Our festival is not a touring festival and we pride ourselves on delivering the best possible event during the third week in November in the Ottawa region.
Please email the festival director Mike McKay at email@example.com directly if you have any questions, comments, or you are just looking for guidance. We also offer discount codes for previous filmmakers that have had films featured in the festival. Please ask for this years code if you have submissions for 2020.
The submission are through FilmFreeway: filmfreeway.com/ottawaadventurefilmfestival
If you have been one of our filmmakers in the first 3 years please give us feedback on Film Freeway! We really value your feedback and it helps us grow as a festival.
